the word "coon" stems from the Portuguese word “barracoon,” meaning prisoner in a cage.

The word ‘barracoon’ translates into English as the word barrack, barrier, something that holds you back. Whites adapted and shortened the word when looking for slave labor. Less educated whites assumed the word derived from 'raccoon' referring to "buck eyes" and that additional blackface routine whites created for cheap entertainment.

Depending on the nature of your presentation, it will probably be offensive however, i think you being a person of color it would just make you look like an idiot.

COON is a name used by some people in the southern states way back in the 50 & 60's.
Not used anymore as far as I know. Being from the south I have NOT heard this until now but I do remember it.

coon is offensive and colored isn't used or popular any more either. Also the blackface style is considered offensive now, though it's understood that things were different years ago. Boca o River?

Pobably THE most offensive word I'm aware of, and
"colored" isn't at all good either. Afro-American is ok,
but why distinguish anyhow ? If you're referring to Americans,
the description "American" will cover it.

I pray to god you die.

Edit: Why are you using the word colored? With a name like Juan Carlos I doubt your white.
