Ick. I quit eating at McDonald's long before I became vegetarian. I learned what was and wasn't in them. That and after eating McGrease, I had the urge to visit the McToilet. Then I learned what was and wasn't in the food, before "Super Size Me" (which I've not seen) came out. While I read "Fast Food Nation" a year after I went vegetarian, and several months after going vegan, some of the information was not new, but still disgusting and disturbing all the same. I've not seen the movie, but would like to.
I think it's both sad and funny that after the unhealthiness of fast food has become more main stream, that McDonald's has tried to make themselves healthier. The salads are still loaded with meat (from their factory farms, I bet) and most of the dressings are still loaded with unhealthy fats. Yum. And now they're trying to market the Happy Meals as healthy. Ugh. The magazine ads say that they care about what goes into kids' bodies. Yeah. Is that why they're still offering fried food with God knows what in it on white bread? No thank you. I'll feed my kids veggie burgers on sugar free whole wheat bread and oven roasted potatoes and fruit. Although, I do agree with the line from what commercial about what goes into the tummy is more important as what goes into the tummy.
It's been three years since I've given McDonald's a penny of my money. They don't seem to be missing it. I went there for coffee last summer when I was visiting my parents and since they had just introduced the new coffee, the small one was free. Nifty. I didn't like it any better or worse than any other coffee I've had.

You should watch the movie Supersize Me; it's a true story about a man who eats only McDonalds for thirty days. He gets really sick and his Dr. tells him he should stop eating there. Once every month or two is O.K. but any more than that is not healthy. Rent the movie, it's really good!

i am not a supported of mcdonalds. I find it somewhat ironic that mcdonalds has charities such as The McDonald House which helps sick children in north america, but yet the toys in happy meals are made by children in sweat shops in poor countries.

I love McDonald's! I eat there a lot. My friends think it's gross that I eat their food, but I really think that they're just jealous that I can eat whatever I want and not gain weight. I think I've tried everything that they serve. But my usual is the quarter pounder with cheese value meal. Oh, and a McFlurry on the side.

McDonald's is my guilty pleasure. Yes, I eat their healthier menu stuff now, but every once in a while I still have a Big Mac attack.
