By reporting this story they are interfering with our mission in Iraq. Now, the terrorists will really be annoyed over nothing.

Now, if the media were properly controlled, they would have reported that this murderer was executed even though he was decorated, given a pay raise and sent to Club Med Tahiti.

Telling the truth is not treason, in spite of what dictator says

No they haven't committed treason. They are doing their job. An informed public is necesarry to keep things in order. Should we just have no media reporting on Iraq at all and keep the people in the dark? Should we live in fear that the terrorists are watching us?
Honestly if you believe they hate us for our freedom doesn't being willing to give up a free media give them what they want? We would be changing our way of lives due to fear.

I think the media is reporting on the treasonous acts of this administration and the soldiers who are following their orders in Iraq. Soldiers can commit murder without going to jail and politicians can break the law at will under this administration without going to jail and you're worried about the media???
I think I smell a totalitarian communist pig!!!

It's the truth. Last time I checked, telling the truth wasn't treason. Are you saying murdering a civilian is "nothing"?

"Properly controlled"???? I hope you're joking about that.

After re-reading your additional details, I can only assume that you're joking. It's hard to tell these days, because there are people who would say things like that with a straight face.

So, you apparently believe that all news reports are matters of absolute national security, and that any commentary on the war puts people in direct immediate danger.

Fortunately for this country, that's not what the law says. Reporting troop locations is not even treason, though it is criminal.

This is nowhere close to either.

What do you mean by "Control" the media? I missed the point where we became part of Cuba.
