If Barry Bonds had have taken steroids he probably would have lasted longer in the majors and would have breakin the record anyway. i mean look at him, 6 years ago he hit 71 homeruns in a single season. now he has no neck and can barly run. People like Hank Aaron work their butts off without steroids and got the record. If you're going to cheat, then cheat, but im sure Barry Bonds isnt going to feel all that great about breaking the record.compared to if he didnt take steroids.
And A Rod will not break the record in a couple of years becuase he would need like 100 homeruns each season. I'd say more like 6 or 7 years.

2 years ago I was toying with the idea of getting back into MLB (I've been out since the 1994 strike), and then the steroids thing started getting more notice... I'm pretty much done with it, but you can't take these home run "records" (his, mcgwuire's, canseco's, etc) seriously. At the very least they should be listed separately, i.e. pre-1985 and post-1985 so the steroids boys can be differentiated from the rest. I hope neither of these 3 make the Hall of Fame, but if either of them do it'll be one more reason I'm glad to be done with the MLB.
ffemt1280-Bonds admitted taking steroids (the clear etc. that he got from his trainer), the only question any more was whether or not he did so knowingly.

I think that people are just retarded because they're here answering the same way for every Barry question.....
"Hank should defend the record and play again so that Barry can't catch up"?????
Barry is a disgrace.....
Barry should be injured on purpose by beaning him.....
Barry's records should be erased.....
Barry is mean.....
Barry is ()&^*&%&^$.....
Give me a break! He took steroids and HGH, but those two things were not banned or illegal at the time. How can that be construed as cheating, if he and others did it legally?
People should grow up, get a life or get an education. I'm sick of retards and children saying crap without knowing what they are saying before opening their gutters.....

Personally, i don't think it's going to be all that great for baseball. I lost any respect i had for the man the past few years. Not only did he test positive for steroids, but he's a bad sport too. Honestly, I, like many people, hate the Yankees, but i'm just waiting for A-rod to break the record so Bonds doesn't hold it!

Yes its good for baseball doesn't matter if people think he used steroids or not its a great accomplishment and milestone to break the home run record.

We all know he cheated. We all know the record will be tainted. Do you really think anyone with half a brain will consider Bonds the Home Run King? No. And I'm satisfied with that. I guess.

STOP ASKING THIS QUESTION!! god, i see it every day. its ridiculous. uggggh.
sorry. i just got a little frustrated. i think people have been predicting that he'd break it for years and now that he's close, people in the baseball world are losing their minds. i am so over him by now.
and we all know alex is gonna be next. so i guess in a few years people will be asking what we think of him breaking the home run record. why dont we just start now?

Barry Bonds is a joke! He is rude to fans and sportswriters and when it matters to him he decides to be polite. I wouldn't pay one cent for that stupid ball....but I would pay for the needle he's been sticking in his behind all these years....he's a cheater!
