110 mph and only because I shut her down when I saw the cop down the highway. It was a clear day and a straight stretch of road. My brand new '96 Mustang GT hugged the road like it was on a rail.
First thing the cop said? "This is a nice car. How fast does it go?"
I kid you not.

True Story:
I was going 40-ish in a 35 dwontown in my 2000 Toyota Corrola. As I'm nearing the traffic light, I hear a tapping on my window. I got pulled over by a bicycle cop!

I think the trooper said I was going 71 in a 55. He knocked it down to 62 in a 55. That was around 1992.
