I think most of you got it. Instead of saying "dont smoke here" maybe
" I perfer if smoking is done outside. "OR
"Don't talk to me that way" instead try, I like it when you say.......Blah..blah

Sure. I have a catch-all solution:

"Ask me about that again tomorrow!"

Heh.

Yes, but you won't feel as good as on a day when you can say NO or other words. Don't think about restrictions, it'll make you want to do the forbidden stuff. If you feel like saying YES, say it, simple as that. Don't say yes because it's the right thing to do, do it because you want it

Well I had a program where you couldn't say anything negative for 3 weeks and I finished. I'm only 11 so I bet you could do it too.

I don't consider the examples that you provided to be negative. Saying no to someone who is testing your limits is a good thing. Saying not as in "I will not hurt you" is a good thing. Saying I don't want to embarrass or humiliate anyone, is a good think. Saying, I can't treat others badly, is a good thing. And so on.

A rape victim who can learn to say "no" and enforce it is a very good thing.

Let's try it! I believe that you can go through the day without saying negative things. If we cannot help but say a word such as "No, do-not, cannot, will not, ect." We could just be silent!

I could try. I like to see things from a positive angle, so 'don't' or 'can't' would be not very frequent. There! I have said 'not'!

Is 'I don't know' a negative response?

I probably couldn't,but I like the idea a lot =))

By the way,NO,NOT,DON'T,CAN'T,WON'T,WOULDN'T are not necessarily negative.Sometimes they could be the most positive words you can hear at the moment.

It'll be hard but it can be done you just have to think about it too before you speak.

Yes, but you would still think negetively.
