I recommend WD-40. Surprisingly, it works just as good as Goo Gone yet it is less expensive. WD-40 can be bought at Wal-Mart, or any other supermarket.

Using nail polish remover, rubbing alcohol and they sell some stuff at Wal-Mart(dont know what the name is) but all has worked for me.

Get some bug and tar remover from the auto parts store and use one of them scrubby pads that are used for pots and pans (not steel wool the other ones)

WD -40 and a rag works for stubborn stuff, but for easy stuff, try gumm off, or other commercial products found in places you can buy glue and tape.

Citrus solvents work well and are less likely to burn your skin like goof off will.

try squirting some PAM on it or anything oil based. it will probably slide off,
