Yes, It started, July 1. I read some where that people are to get back pay, if they did not get the 7.50, on there paycheck when it took off July 1.

Rent should be no more than 1/3 one's take home pay. A person earning £5.35 an hour, 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year only earns £927 a month. £750 on rent leaves next to nothing for the other expenses.
