Simple: she hates america along with bill clinton. The only way an intelligent politician would support socialism, a proven destructive policy, is if they hated the country. This was proven after Bill Clinton was impeached and he released hundreds of criminals and terrorists just to stick it to America.

It's really disturbing how irrational people are being about this.

A senior senator with security clearance was asking the pentagon for estimates of time requirements, costs and potential casualties before voting on a bill that would potentially have those effects. In other words, she was asking for information that she was legally and ethically entitled to have, so that she could make an informed decisions as a senator.

The person who wrote her the letter, on the other hand, was someone who had been up for confirmation before the Senate, and she had voted no. So the person who is making these accusations harbors a personal grudge against her.

The very concept that Congress asking for information from the executive branch is somehow the same as being a traitor has shown how completely broken this country has become.

And the fact that of all the Senators who have asked for this same information (including many republicans), the only one accused in this way is the leading presidential candidate from other side -- showing just how partisan we've become.

What a bunch of hooey. Is there any Democratic candidate that you cons won't try to make seem as though they just got off the telephone with Osama bin Laden?

Sen. Clinton, Sen. Lugar (a - gasp! - Republican) and Sen. Byrd all requested from Gates that they be informed if the White House had any plans for when the surge either succeeds or fails. Instead of answering, he has an underling do it. Who, instead of simply answering the frigging questions by saying "Yes, we have made plans but are not ready to divulge them yet," or "No, we have not but are currently in the process of doing so," he writes back a nasty letter accusing Sen. Clinton of aiding the enemy. It's more White House bullshyt designed to paint anyone with a black brush that dares question them about their future plans for Iraq. It couldn't have anything to do with the fact that Sens. Clinton and Byrd are pursuing a deauthorization of the war powers given to Bush could it?

I'll give you one guess who will come out of this smelling like a rose, and it isn't going to be the White House. Americans are sick to death of Bush's White House acting as though they are above the law, and acting as though Congress is nothing but an annoyance that doesn't have a perfect right to be involved in war matters per our Constitution. You cons are going to slander, fearmonger, and character assassinate yourselves out of any chance to see the Oval Office for the foreseeable future if you don't change your tactics. But God knows you all will just keep shooting yourselves in the foot until you die from shock in November '08 when you lose by record numbers.

Because she is a liberal Democrat who hates President Bush. She wants him to fail so badly that she is willing, along with many other leading Congressional Democrats, to sabotage the Iraqi peoples fight for freedom.
