I am not sure about Federer but Nadal has been quoted about religion saying that he would rather say that he was not sure if there is a God and live a happy, good life than say that there is a God and be seen as a hypocrite. He has also said that he does not pray so I don't think that he is into religion that much.

You confused me, you spelled relegion, instead of religion. I have a picture on which Federer is with pope Benedict, and in the text related it says he's a Catholic. Really don't know for Nadal

Does it matter for their game? Religion and sports are two
separate things and better be kept at a distance in todays
world.
In religion, you pray to God and everyone goes to request him.
In sports, you bring fans and hope you play good.
People have committed horrible crimes in the name of religion.
Hence not worth mentioning
