It will also get rid of your lungs and mucus membranes too. You should never EVER mix them together - you get ammonium chloride which can be deadly.

To clean mildew make a paste of chlorine bleach and baking soda place it on the mildew. allow it to dry and then rinse it. Do this in a well ventilated area although not deadly like your ammonia and bleach it can still generate some fumes. Follow it up with heated vinegar in a spray bottle.

Normally, just a lttle bleach and water will get rid of mildew. It would be better to get rid of the source of the mildew. Probably need to seal up some cracks somewhere.

Soak some cotton balls in bleach, place on the areas with mildew. I agree with everyone else.....don't ever mix bleach with any other cleaner or chemical.
The mix of baking soda with bleach also works....pour baking soda over the area, then place a paper towel over that, then pour a bit of bleach, let it sit......mildew will disappear.

How did you survive this lethal combination? Who on earth told you to mix ammonia with bleach????
The best thing to get rid of mold/mildew is bleach ALONE dilute with water. Follow the instructions on the bottle.

I hope that you are just trying to get people riled up and are not seriously considering mixing ammonia and bleach. That is probably the most deadliest mixture that you could make from common household items.

I once mixed ammonia and bleach in my toilet bowl-to get it super clean. What I got was an awful smell and extreme discomfort in my nose and lungs. I had to open a window and not use the bathroom until it aired out. I couldn't breathe.

It is very dangerous to use bleach and ammonia together. They produce harmful vapors. Please refrain from using them this way and don't suggest that others do the same.
