the backup lights on my 99 mustang are not working i already chaged the fuse and i changed the bulbs if any one can think of something it might be please tell me....... the brake lights works and the running lights works so its just both backup lights

P.S. i say the year cuz everyone i called needed to know the year

check the sockets or ballasts and the wiring may be corroded.

The switch that turns those on, is usually located inside the transmission. Climb under your car and see if you can find a wire plug anywhere, There will be one for the Speedometer, and one for the reverse light. This would be the next piece to change.

It may be one of several things. You may need to adjust the switch on the shift lever to make sure it is making. Or you may have a broken wire to the lights, and finally a bad ground to the light assembly.
