I f you don't have a basic understanding of the difference between revenue and income, you need to get a financial adviser as well.

You will "make money", but by the time you deduct the valid expenses and maintenance, it does not have to be "profit".

Non-profit organizations have lots and lots of money coming in, but as long as it is all spent on expenses, it is not profit. Plus, your salary is part of the valid expenses.

Look at all the information you can find on the internet for "non-profit group homes" "how to write a grant" "how to start and run a non-profit" and what ever else you can think of.

The information you need is there, I promise you.

Also, visit some other homes that are just like what you want, and talk to them. Many times, home like that are looking to expand, and they would be glad to add you to their list.

501(c)3---You need a group of people, pres, vp, treas, sec to be on your board---they make the decisions not you...Then you fill out the paper work to become a non profit entity---You must have some money for legal stuff, postage, etc....then you write your grant....The board will decide your budget...You need help....go to your local Social Rehabilitation Department in your city, county or state.
Work with a church.....GOOD LUCK
