i like to pretend im gonna do a crossover and just pull up for the 3, i also like to jab step forward to create some space and pull up that way as well, but i find that screens or fast break pullup's work best!

The Best Way To Do This Is To Do It The Old Allen Iverson Way. Start Of With A Fake Driver, The Move Into A Crossover, Then Just Fad Away That Easy 3.

Don't go east west, go north south, dribble in, step back and take a 3. Jab step works a lot better than people think, but you really have to sell it and be quick. Without the ball, use screens to get open and keep moving ala reggie miller or rip hamilton.

k, so there is this guy who played for MSU, his name is Drew Neitzel. Best 3 point shooter in the NCAA. 75% of his threes came with him running out of bounds along the baseline, while the big man gave him a screen, he would lose his man for a second, then he would catch the ball on the run at the wing , and fade away to the direction in which he was running. worked every time.

so i guess what im trying to say is that the best way to lose your man is to have a teammate set a screen for you.

Try a shot fake with the ball. Without the ball try using screens, read the defense and create space to free yourself for a shot.

jabstep...either that or if your playing with a teammate, try to have that teammate double-teamed so that he can pass it to you for the open thrice.
