Well, I had it done when I was 17 and I didn't have a good experience, but I know many people who have gotten through it with minimal pain and inconvenience. I hope you are one of the lucky ones.

I got mine pulled this year same age. It's really not that bad. When you first wake up you'll be on so much drugs you can't feel anything. only things the first 2 days don't push it...tyr not to talk to much it might feel fine at the moment but the pain will come later. The doctor will give you a strong pain medication for the times when the pain is really strong. Just rest and try to relax. The only part that got me was the limitation on eating. The first day it's only clear liquids, the next days are basically pudding broth icecream etc. Don't try and eat things that aren't recomended it will hurt and could cause an infection. Don't stress to much over it and just follow all the doctors directions. Oh and be prepared to look like a chipmunk for a couple days =)

I just went through this in April and it was my 1st time being put to sleep. If you have an abscess, you're in more pain now than you will be then. It'll just be a bit sore (much like with braces if you've had them) and they'll give you really good pain killers, I was on Vicoden so I was catching up on a lot of sleep. The worst for me that I got so hungry from only eating soft foods. My son worked @ Brusters then and brought me a quart home every day, I really went though the ice cream & pudding. Good luck!!!

WE all have been through it usually by age 30. Find a dentist that uses nitrous as well as nova caine. Usually you have one at a time pulled. Normal is four. If you don't, your teeth will become crowded, you won't be able to close your mouth, many problems occur.

They probably won't pull them... they will cut them right out of your head!!! ;-) Been there, done that.... 3 of my 4 wisdom teeth were impacted (growing in against my other teeth) so they had to be surgically removed... GOOD LUCK.

No it's best to go have it done now before they get infected or start hurting then you'll wish they were out. It's not that bad to have them removed. It's just really one bad day and you sleep most of it away

Honestly, it's not so bad. Use it as an excuse to get about four days to a week of chill time. You can lay around and no one will question you. Buy your prescribed drugs and a pile of DVDs and catch up on your rest.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, I was really dreading having them taken out. When they do it it doesnt hurt until after, and then they give you drugs to help with the pain. Good luck!
