Just like you said, they are ignorant, and want someone to blame for their failure. I'm black, and I'm not racist or hateful against my race, but this is the simple truth. I bust my butt to make sure I make good grades at school and excel in all that I can and if I, a black 17 year old girl, can do this at such a young, anyone can. *u*

I've never heard a black person say that. Just b/c ppl bring to the forefront some very real issues of racism doesn't mean they are saying white ppl are holding them back.

There is def still racism against blacks, but the only person who can really hold u back is you. I think in general black ppl have a harder road to take b/c of racism..and white ppl shouldn't be so naive about the effects of racism.

I'll tell you what's holding me back and it's making me madder than h*ll! I finished the lawn except for the weed-eating part and my stupid weed-eater won't start! My weed-eater is orange - no offense to orange people, but this thing is making weed-eaters of the same color look very bad.

You have people in all races, religions etc that are insecure about themselves so they have to "invent" (for lack of a better term) a better situation (or history) for themselves even if they can't achieve it. It bolsters their already fragile egos and makes them feel superior.

Just my opinion - so get those thumbs downs ready.

That is very dumb for people to say because the only person holding them back is their stupid selves.
