To me, this sounds like a typical text message kind of thing between a guy and a girl. The girl posts a huge long thing and the guy just says "lol". That is infuriating even to me. Granted, If I wanted a 8 sentence txt message, I would call instead. But thats neither here nor there. Anyways, you have to look at it from her side as well buddy. She's trying to talk to ya and make conversation but your off onyour PS3. Now, on the flipside, her saying "i've lost interest" is quite uncalled for. Condescending even. And if she is so bored with talking, then she should just let you alone for a while until you are available to strike up a long and juicy conversation. She should know that you are busy though. That's my thoughts <3 med

It really depends on the form of communication. If it is a more formal letter, then yes, it's disrespectful. If it's just in an instant message window, then no, I wouldn't take it to heart.

Not really. It depends on where you are writing it down at. Like on the computer when I chat I use lower case letters but when at work or in class or somewhere important I write it the proper way.

Circumstances differ. If it's in a formal letter, yes it is considered disrespectful by etiquette standards. When it comes to graphic design or just Internet lingo, I don't really think it matters.

No and it sure is easier. None of that two handed shift key while touch-typing - just keep on hitting keys. I have never had a complaint from anyone whose name I did in lowercase.

I assume you are talking about on Yahoo where rules and manners are looser. If it was a work letter I sure would capitalize carefully.

I don't think it is disrespectful. Somtimes I get typing too fast, I forget to capitalize things or the keyboard just doesn't catch it. It is incorrect grammar, but i don't think it is disrespectful!(:

maybe if it's on a formal document, or if everyone else's name was uppercase it might be considered disrespectful.
