It depends on how pregnant you were when you had your miscarriage. If it was early in the pregnancy you can start after your period, but if you were more than a 7 or 8 weeks pregnant then you need to wait 3 months. If you are going to start now ovulation normally takes place 14 days after the first day of your period if you have a 28 day cycle. Try using an ovulation test kit to predict the exact time of ovulation (you just pee on them like with a pregnancy test)and you will get pregnant sooner.
I hope it all works out for you soon, i am going through the some thing.

if you were further than 4- 6 weeks pregnant and miscarried, then you should wait at least 3 months to try again. Its a good sign that you got your period already, so maybe you could just wait another cycle and then start trying to conceive again.
Good luck and I'm sorry for your loss.

When i had a miscarriage last May, my dr. said it was best to wait about 3 months so my cycle and body can go back to normal before getting pregnant again. I misscarried at 3 months, so it was developed alot. We got pregnant in December, and have one month left til we become parents. Its a healthy boy.
Good luck!!

wait 3 cycles after a miscarriage, to prevent incompetent cervix, or any left overs from the previous conception.
