hi i own a mac book and i was wondering how i can close the laptop without the laptop going in to standby?? help plz :)

The lid activates a switch by a magnet. You could block the magnet with a thin strip of metal but it would probably make the MacBook overheat. I think most PCs have this same feature. They also would overheat if closed and running at full power.

You should WANT the machine to go to sleep while the lid is down.

go onto ure desktop & right click options should pop up...click properties on da bottom & then click on the screensaver tab & where it says wait...type n a large # .
try that! =)
