I'm pretty sure there is no song I hate more than that one? It really makes me feel like polishing my gun.

like a little fairy came down from the sky, and brought brownies and chocolate milk, and gave me a hummer while i watched the sunlight dance off the trees, then my mom came in my room without knocking and saw me touching my pee thingy and screamed, i was so embarrased

Suzie, I hope this song is able to bring you comfort. Maybe it is her way of letting you know she is alright and will see you soon. Jim Reeves was probably the greatest country singer in the history of the genre. I'm glad this song from so long ago is helping you to cope. I cannot even begin to imagine what you must have went through. God be with you Sweet Suzie.

I love the song, when Bette Midler sings it. The song was played at my mother's funeral service, so there's a lot of memories attached to it. Put that damn gun away, I know it's pointed my way!

I know what you mean , I don't own a gun (husband does for work but you get the point)

That song is way over the sappy limit.

It's such a cheesey song, but it reminds me of the movie Beaches, which is one of the saddest movies ever. I was miserable the other day (overtired) and it got stuck in my head for some reason and I felt like jumping out a window.

Yeah. Not so good.

I find it to be a beautiful song. I think of my dad whenever I hear Bette Midler sing it. I would have liked it for my dad's funeral, but the funeral guy said it was inappropriate. Now, I hear it in my thoughts when I visit his grave.

I'm not a big fan of the song myself, but it makes me want to cry because my best friend also died of cancer shortly after the movie this song was in came out. In the movie this song was sung to her best friend who was dying of cancer.

The only thing worse is a Micheal Bolton song... "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" comes to mind...
