Do you really think most people look like their Avitars? The reason I asked is I was just helping my siste rin law make her's earlier today. I showed her all the options and told her it should resemble her as much as possible. My sister in law is Latina. She has long dark beautiful hair and brown eyes. Once she finished she had a cute little avitar only it had blonde hair that wasnt that long and she but blue eyes on it. I thought it was funny b/c she said that's what she want's too look like. LOL! So I was wondering how many people do that? Try to make themselve's look as opposite as their aviatr as possible?

lnteresting question.... I think for the most part the face of mine looks like me...The hair? I only wish... lol Not that I don't like my hair, just that I wish I could wear it that long. Too hard to keep up with - with a disabled right hand and arm. My hair style isn't avaliable on the avitars... Chin length 'posh spice' bob :) But oh well!! I never really wanted to look like anyone thou... I'm just me.

I look similar to my avatar I have big blue eyes with dark brown hair that goes a little past my shoulders and it's very wavy, but I straighten it all the time so....maybe it's not that similar. I am mixed with Latina too. My father is Puerto Rican. Boricua. Yankees!! I *heart* NY. Later, mama.

I tried to make mine look like me...but I bet loads of people do what your sister in law did...I mean here in Yahoo Ville...no none is ugly or plain or overweight or spotty are they? So thats not very realistic is it? I must say though...my avitar looks a bit cross eyed...I only just noticed!

I think Yahoo is actually pretty discriminatory against us people who can still remember "Gilligan's Island" and "The Lassie Show". I would have tried to choose an Av who resembled me more closely - I'm actually very comfortable with the lines, the pounds, and the bad hair days! - but the options were narrowed to only represent smooth-skinned teeny-boppers.

For some people yes, but I also know some people have an avatar that's opposite in gender from what they are so I certainly hope those individuals don't look like their avatar LOL.

I don't know, mine is pretty similar. But it doesn't matter people should make them whatever they feel like. Although they can't be totally close for a lot of people as one senior citizen pointed out yesterday they don't really show 'age'.
I think it's up to the individual person. It just shows you can't assume anything.

My avatar really did look like me, but now I've changed my haircolor again so I should update that I guess. But, the hairstyle is right on... I don't do much with my hair while I'm at work!

only a little bit and sometimes not even close. some people just try to make it cute. well my avatar's eye shape is way of and the hair style is also different.
