I will be moving to US to pursue my Masters at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). I am looking for housing close to the campus. I found this (South campus apartments). If you have lived there or know someone who has, please let me know how the place is!

The complete address of the place is:
South Campus Apartments
603 Causley Ave
Arlington, TX 76010

(817) 265-8647

I'd be grateful if you answer my question! Also, if you know any good, cheap places for students to live near UTA, please let me know!

To be honest living near the UTA campus isn't a good idea. There are a lot of robberys and very high crimes around the campus area. The best way is to not live around the area. It is very dirty and old most of the apartments. On top of that theres are alot of cars stolen from the apartment complex. Maybe 10 years ago it was still a safe area, but not anymore.

The best way is to find a roommate and to live off campus.
Here are a few links to the crimes the area.

My sister-in-law lives in Arlington and apartments there are really a mix. They lived in a pretty good apartment. One day, they came to visit us and two days later they received a call from the PD stating their apartment was broken in to and they had stolen a lot of their stuff. They flew back to Arlington and when they got there ALL of their electronics were stolen. This was a descent place. They paid $1100 rent there. Goes to tell you no place is really a safe place.

My nephew went to UTA last year and lived on Benge Dr but I don't recall the name of the complex. The apartments are very basic, but it's all college students living around there and there's a lot of coming and going between classes and work so there's always someone outside to see what's going on. He felt safe there. I'm sure you'd make friends with other students and could walk to class with them, or possibly catch a ride. The more people you meet the safer you'll feel having someone to call on but as a young woman living alone you always have to watch your surroundings any place you live.

I lived in Arlington for years. Try looking north of UTA or south. Listen to LC and find housing else where. Welcome to UTA. It's a great university.

Crime is real bad in those apartments. My wife and I lived there until we got burglarized.
