Yes, it absolutely is possible to become pregnant using a condom that doesn't break. Condoms only have about a 97% success rate. There are disclaimers on the box that even say so. There is no form of artificial birth control that is 100% successful.

Yes you can get pregnant if the condom doesn't break. Many condoms have microscopic tears that you wouldn't see. Also many times the sperm will leak out the other end of the condom, this is particularly true if a condom is the wrong size or put on improperly. That's why the failure rate is so alarmingly high with condoms 10-18%.

I would never tell anyone not to use condoms, they are the ONLY protective measure we have against STIs, but if you really don't want to get pregnant use a condom AND something else because a condom just won't cut it.

It's possible, even the box says there's a 3% chance of pregnancy. If used incorrectly, that chance is higher.

The only sure way to not get pregnant is abstinence. Other than that, there is always a possibility, even when using the methods correctly.

Well, my husband and I used condoms faithfully and correctly every time. I was also on birth control, and taking that faithfully. I am currently 36 weeks pregnant.

The moral? NOTHING is 100%.

Yes, it is possible. The only form of birth control that is 100% effective is abstinence.

What's not right about it? You have sex, you take the risk of pregnancy.

Okay. the condom only fails if it breaks or not put on right or its taken off not carefully!...that's the only way you can get pregnant ..not just because!

condoms are only 99% sure, so there is a 1% chance.

Anything is possible. That's why abstinence is the best policy.
