When you pick the image fro your desktop, set the "Position" to "Stretched".
Windows will then scale the image to exactly fit your desktop resolution.
Or you can edit an image so that it matches your desktop resolution. The advantage of this is that you can do a crop to the correct aspect ratio, and the up/down scaling routines of the photo editor programs tend to do a better job.

When configuring the desktop wallpaper, set the position as centered. Also, choose images that are 1024 x 768 in size. This is the optimal size for a desktop background.

If you have access to a Photo Editing program they have a sizing capability. Make the photo 640x480 or so (75 pixels per inch) and you can get it to fit well.

i think of your laptop determination has been replaced attempt this- flow to laptop-top click-properties-flow to laptop tab-flow below place and decide stretch. if that does'nt paintings attempt this- flow to laptop-top click-properties-settings tab- look on the reveal relsolution(it has much less and greater in it) flow the reveal determination in direction of max or greater - click stick to after which click ok. if that does,nt paintings attempt abode windows troubleshooting.
