Well, Im 14 and I have snuck out before. I did it because my friends and me were gonna go toilet paper the house of a kid at our school who always picked on one of my other friends. Let me tell you, i'll never do that again! i have my own house key and i when snuck out the back door, i left it sitting on the island in the kitchen and i locked the door behind me. well, when i was trying to get back in i couldnt and i thought about calling or ringing the bell for someone to let me in. then i thought against it cuz i'd get in trouble. well, my dad knew i snuck out and he came up beside me and said here use my key. and i did like nothing was wrong, then i realised what had happened and i knew i was in big trouble. i was so scared that i got caught that when my dad asked me why i snuck out, i told him the whole story. he made me go over to the house i toilet papered, apologize to the people, and clean up the mess while he stood there and watched me. all this in the middle of the night. then knowing i was so freakin tired, he woke me up at 8:00 in the morning to talk. then i got grounded for a month.

Well, I do not have a child yet considering I'm only 13 but if I were in your situation I would try my best and tell her it's not acceptable. Ask her where she has been and who she was with. Ground her. Take everything out of her room, Tv, Dvd Players, Stereo, Cds, Game Systems, etc. Anything even remotely entertaining. Basically just leave them their clothes and bed. Make them come home, do their homework at kitchen table, take a shower, eat dinner then send them to bed. Keep at it for a week, and then slowly give them back their belongings. It may sound harsh, but my dad did it to me, and I never snuck out again!!
