Are the universities actively participating in wealth redistribution by underhand methods. like affirmative action, scholarships to minorities which are funded by raising the tuition cost by double the rate of inflation?

Is this unethical?

The only reason so many people go to college is because of the incessant marketing by colleges that enforce the notion that a college education is necessary, when in fact if you look at some of the most successful people on the planet, most of them either never attended college or achieved very poor grades if they did. The truth is that most people in the corporate environment with college degrees are pretty darn stupid and will never amount to a can of beans.

Actually, most colleges don't grant scholarships for anything but academic merit.

Affirmative action applies to admission standards and quotas, not scholarships.

And the scholarships that are being granted to minority groups are coming from private institutions who are free to give their money to whoever they want.

college sucks. why do you think all us undergrads have to take all kinds of drugs, smoke, and drink. I was looking at some of the requirements for my friendly neighborhood university, and realized, academic probation is inevitable unless you make a 4.0 GPA, which is bullsh!t. you just gotta choke through it the best you can, and with as much aderol that you can.

Scholarships are not ordinarilly funded by raising admissions costs, but through alumni and other donations, and through the government.

Yes, thanks for the post. Not nearly enough people understand what these programs really are.
