if answering questions on here constitutes "helping" than its actually pretty normal.
people help others because it makes them feel good.
helping someone usually gets the helper social rewards and other positive outcomes. it could be altruistic or egoistic motivation (doing it for the sake of helping - or doing it for selfish reasons meaning--to reap rewards/benefits)
Codependency is more of a need to control others and stuff, I wouldn't exactly call answering questions on here codependent?

I hope you are not codependent all by yourself.
Stick around, the terminologies change all the time and next year what ever it is will be a new term, with a new spin and spawn more cottage industries to treat it.
I think back on what my great great grandparents went through alone moving west across the vast prairies and mountains. I think they called 'em settlers back then.
