For. Democracy depends on a well educated electorate. The higher the literacy rate and the better educated the people, the stronger the Democracy.

Independent by philosophy. Democrat as a practical matter. Since the last worthwhile Republican I've had a chance to vote for was Gerry Ford.

I'm not for either party, and I haven't read the full bill yet.

But, from what I saw of the debate live last night, it looks like the proposal would simple allow someone to pay off the loan slower if they weren't making enough money to pay it off normally.

I think our govt paying interest on student loans is a much better investment in our future than almost anything else. And allowing them to repay more slowly prevents them from having to declare bankruptcy if they cannot pay the full amount more quickly. Which is overall better for everyone.

So, from what I've seen, it looks good. Again, I have not read the full bill proposal yet.

definitely for. I just got our of school with almost 30 thousand in debt. I worked full time during college. It's ridiculous that the government is paying these companies when they are collecting so much money from us. (I pay over 150$ a month just in interest) Democrat.

Blackmule I worked 40 hours a week every semester except my last, when I did a full time unpaid internship, and still owe almost 30 grand in loans. You CANNOT work you're way through college now on a normal job.

Yes. Democrat. I'm for anything that will responsibly improve education in the US. The Chinese are killing us. They have four college grads for every one of ours.

sounds nice, that's about the only social welfare program I think I could openly advocate. I'd much rather have my taxes go to something that could pay off later for our citizens than cripple them into unemployment.

but I haven't paid enough attention to overall issues at hand lately to really say I'd go either way.

proud conservative (not republican).
