I think it can go both ways.

It can be wrong because you do not know who is actually behind the computer.

But it can be "right" because you don't have to like someone for their looks, sometimes its better not knowing what people look like. And who said you have to know what they look like to like them, what about their personality.

most assuredly not wrong, cause if it was wrong or illegal for that matter you would not have all those dating sites and such on the internet. but it definetly is something you have to be careful about and if you plan to do it make sure you take plenty of time to get to know the person and not just dive head first into it. Hope this helps you out. but if you do consider doing make sure you are not alone with them bring friends and make it a double date and do so in a public place for sure.

I met my wife online, so I guess I'd have to say no lol.

But seriously, be careful. I met a lot of crazies before I met her. A good rule of thumb is not to meet in person right away. We talked online and on the phone for a few weeks before we met in person. When you meet in person for the first time, do it in a public place. After that, it all will depend on how you and the other person connect.

I know people that have found dates online, but all the long term relationships they had were with people that they met in person. I don't think it's wrong, but it can be kinda risky and not too helpful.

It's ok to some extent but the internet is a dangerous ground. Better watch your step.

No but there are a lot of things you have to take into consideration like if the person on the other line is a sex predator. Be Careful !

As long as you do it in a safe way. i.e. meet them in a public place and make it a double date so you are there with people you know. And let everyone know where you are at and when you are expected to be home.

no, its not wrong at all. the only thing that does make it wrong is that you just met the person like, a few days ago and you are giving them your personal info.
address
DOB
phone number.
etc, etc.
