None. Some allow "unions". The problem is the conflict between religions and the "State". Marriage started as a religious institution and later became state controlled also. So the state "rules" still reflect the religious concept of it being between a man and a woman. My opinion is: In the sense that marriage can be a religious thing, that should be up to the religion and not controlled by the state. The problem is we want it both ways. We want a religious control marriage with state controls also. There in lies the rub. I

i know it's Massachusetts and California. Those are the only two States that allow gay marriages
