You're just jealous. Hell, I'm jealous. I wish I could make that much money. I'm willing to bet everyone here wishes that. Even Bill Gates.

Why didn't you just skip your first paragraph and start with the second one? Or why not ask for recommendations for books for girls that are funny? That would have made a lot more sense then perpetuating the furor over Harry Potter that you claim to hate.
As for my recommendation Skinnybones by Barbara Park. You will probably think it is too young for you but you might still find it funny.
You might also try searching amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com using the names of your favorite books. That way you can get ideas for something else similar to read
They will tell you that people that bought the book you searched for also bought.... and give you ideas for similar books.
Barnesandnoble.com will allow you to Search Related Subjects when you search for a particular book. This way you can search for books with a similar theme or in a specific genre.
Below I've listed some other sites you might find useful in your quest for more good, and funny, books to read.

O.K., I take it that you're fed-up with all the Harry Potter hype. You and me both. You know, there is just so much good stuff to read these days that is probably just as palatable and well- done as Harry Potter. PR and marketing are everything. Sorry that I don't have something else in mind to recommend to you as I'm obviously not a young teen girl. Good-luck.

What was this a question? Nobody forces you to read the Questions about Harry Potter.
I read Ellen Foster and LOVED IT! I really liked reading the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants Series. I also really liked StarGirl and Lovely Bones.

I think that for the next week or so you should stay away from Answers because that is goin to be the biggest topic of discussion. People enjoy hearing what others have to say about topics that truely interest them. I say that if you don't like it that's fine, but if everyone wants to freak out for a book let em! How often do people get this excited about something that's worth while? Like reading??

im so sick of all this anti harry potter stuff, all these people think that just beacause they dont get excited over the books or the movie that they are soooo mature and sooo different, well your the same as everyone else who criticizes it hunny dont give yourself credit for being original or anything
and the reason for all the harry potter "stuff" is because there has really never been an ongoing series that a lot of people have actually enjoyed
and a "girl girl teen book" try rainbow boys
hahahaha
