I already replaced it once before because it kept turning off for no reason. Now my second one is doing the same thing, only every two days or so. I've taken it numerous times to verizon trying to get them to exchange it and they won't take it because they can't duplicate the problem. They want me to leave it for a full day to see if it'll happen when they have it, but i NEED my phone for personal reasons. The camera shutter is flimsy, some of the letters don't work when im on mobile IM, and it turns off every once in a while. What will make them give me a new one without leaving it there for a full day? I paid two hundred dollars for it and it doesn't even work correctly. My mom's free phone works better than this thing : /

I left it at verizon for an hour two days ago, and supposedly the girl did a master reset and made sure the software was up to date. It still doesn't work properly. It never turns off when I take it to them. (how convenient!) THEY WON'T BUDGE!!!

Couple of thoughts.

1) If you have a spare cell phone that will work with Verizon, go online to www.verizonwireless.com, and connect it. You still have a phone, and they can keep it as long as they have to in order to find the problem.

2) Is it insured? Collect on the insurance, and hope for the best

3) If your Mom is paying the bill, have her go in and be the bad guy, I have been with Verizon since their "PrimeCo" days, and have yet to be dissatisfied, you just have to get pushy sometimes...that's all.

Ask them about viruses. Since you are on mobile IM alot try asking them if it could be that reason. Another way is to get the insurance plan on the phone wait a week or two and call the insurance dept. Say hey this is what is going on with my phone. IF they can't replace it threaten to switch to a different company like AT&T. They will say they are transfering you to the cancelation department aka as the save team. Their job is to offer you something that will be able to keep you as their customer. good luck
