Does child support end at 18 in Texas if the child is a full time college student?

In TX child support ends when the child turns 18 or graduates from high school, whichever occurs later, UNLESS the support order states otherwise. While TX law has no provision for support during college, support can continue through college if both parents agreed to it.

Usually, but it depends on how the divorce decree is written. It occasionally happens that the child must be supported until they graduate from college, reach age 23, etc. Read the divorce decree.

every state is different (slightly) about these matters, so you may need to file a motion to extend the Child Support. some states its 18, some its 21, so it just depends. Texas says 18, but that doesnt mean you cant file for it to continue til the child is done college.

if it does, then the other parent is responsible for 1/2 (or a percentage based upon who makes more money) of all college/dorm costs.

file a motion for that... you would think paying child support would be cheaper, but i guess it depends upon what college they attend.
