I have been working all day, so I will be honest that I have not heard Senator Byrd's speech. However, I will say that Byrd is a big part of the problem with our government! What do you expect, he is a Democrat!? Liberal Democrats are the most corrupt individuals in our government and they are recklessly dangerous to our rights and constitution! They are not referred to as communists, fascists, and socialists for nothing! As far as Vick, no I do not approve of what he has done to dogs either. I do think that it is a horrible thing. But the hypocrisy that the liberals feed off of is unbelievable! The one who answered about Liberals caring more about animals than they do human life is absolutely right! I truly think that it is time for Byrd to retire or voted out and I am in favor of term limits and campaign finance limits as well. It is time to get the old cronies (Bryd, Kennedy) out of congress as well as the extreme liberals, and start rebuilding for a better tomorrow! I often wonder if all of this is used as a smoke screen to divert our attention away from the other horrible things they are trying to do. Hmmmmm I wonder. Do you?

I agree with Sen Byrd's statments on the whole Vick / Dog thing.
As for Sen Byrd's "sins", all I can say is; we all meet our own God in the end and we will be the only ones providing the "Answers". There will only be one person pushing the Thumbs Up or, Down buttons.

Even if he is completely reformed, a situation like this, with his speech on the animal abuse, it's kind of damned if he does or damned if he doesn't. It's better at least that he had spoken out on the subject (although there are better subjects to speak out on right now than animal abuse...).

Byrd is from my home state and is known for what he is WV in #2 in corruption in the USA.
So watch what you say because the majority of the people living here are willing to dirt on them selves to pass some on you.
In my home town of Hurricane, WV there were rallies religious rallies that were klan oriented and I have Indian blood in me. You can imgine the fun I had, I am now one of the best damn fighters in the STATE, it's known and unknown. I am the result of the massive criminality that is allowed to go on here.
We do not have a low crime rate here at all do not be fooled.

How about his and Gore sr's filibuster of the civil rights act of 1964?
Great role model for the left.
As for Mr.Vick. Pure trash that is holding the advancement of his own people back with his thug mentality. This man should be held to the highest accountability.

Great analogy. Seems as though you can do almost any thing to destroy the life of the unborn and it not be called "barbaric". But liberals seem to care more about animals than unborn human life. Go figure.
