hi
so i hear gel nails are healthier for the natural nails. how do they put it on and how much do they cost and last?

I actually just had gel nails put on a few days ago, and I love them. I think that there are a lot of different brands of gels out there, and each one is probably applied differently. I would say that they are probably healthier because there aren't a whole lot of chemicals used like with acrylics. Also, when I had mine done, she didn't use the rotating file tool that they use with acrylics, so if I do decide to take them off I'm pretty sure that they were leave my real nails thin and with the ugly grow out. They were a little more expensive but I would say totally worth it.

Gel & acrylic nails are applied in the same way. A paste is applied over the nail & shaped. One difference is that gel is pre-mixed while acrylic comes in powder form & mixed w/ a solution to make a paste right before application. The other difference is gel nails are harder to remove.
Gel & acrylic cost about the same. Cost varies by region & @ each salon - type of materials, level of experience, overhead etc. Check out allure.com's salon directory to see prices in your area.

Gel nails cost more about the same price that you would get for crystal on your nails they last the same as they will with regular nails you have to get fill ins

gel nails are very similar to acrylic, they put the fake nails on, but the powder is different. they last like a week longer then acrylic nails and they are like five dollars more expansive then regular acrylic nails

they cost about 30 bucks they last longer than acrylic last about 3-4 weeks i dont know how they are put on

They usually cost more. I am not 100% familer with them, as I have never had them. I always stick to acrylic.

iv had these & acrylic & dont rate either. very bad for you nails, leaves them very weak. I have had fakes with professional glue & they lasted 2 weeks much better. i paid £35.00 for mine.
