ok so u have to find the formula first cz they cn ask u to find the 100th term n u wudnt know in the world how to by goin till the hundreth one :P

seee sinch the commmom difference is 3.....and wheneva u have found the common difference u have to apply the formula which is: commom difference times n(n is the no. of term in this case 12) + b

so here it is 3n+b
now u have to find b!
use 1st term as n to find b - 3*1+b= 5
3+b=5
b=2 now uve found the final formula which 3n+2!

so now use 12 as n

3*12+2= 38 ;)

note that the common difference can also be a negative term for e.g if ur sequence is 14,11,8..
this time the common difference is -3...and ur formula will be
-3n+b...work it out as ive shown above and ur fourth term should be 5!

wth this formula u cn even find the ten thusanth term... =D
hav a good day!

Yes it's 38 if you are looking for the 12th number in this series. the commonality is that each number increases by 3
