In my opinion George Strait is one of the greatest if not THE greatest country singer of all time. It's hard for me to pick one as being "the best". I'd have to say my TWO favorites are:
Amarillo By Morning - A timeless classic that sounds as good today as it did the day he first sang it.
and
Love Without End Amen - This song wouldn't have even been top 10 before I became a dad, now it takes on a whole new perspective.

I truly could never pick! George has never recorded a song that I don't love! Amarillo By Morning is an amazing song!
I love I Can Still Make Cheyenne and Marina Del Ray... The Chair... The Cowboy Rides Away, Cowboys Like Us, Murder On Music Row, Nobody In His Right Mind Would've Left Her...the new one Good News, Bad News is really pretty also... Somewhere Down In Texas is kind of my theme song!
See there was not point in me answering the question because I can never pick just one!
All George Strait is amazing!
He's one of the few true cowboys and country music singers left.... So we need to hold on to him!

George Strait is definately going down in all the record books as one of the all time best singers...not just country! My all time favorite of his is Cross My Heart, but he has so many GREAT songs. They all seem to make you think and you truly feel the music!

The Chair is my favorite, but all George Strait songs are number ones in my book. He is the best country singer around and also looks mighty fine in them Wranglers.

My favorites :-) (did you really think we could pick one?) are I Cross My Heart my hubby sang this to me on our wedding day. And Baby's Gotten Good At Goodbye. My ex drove my kids nuts playing this after I left him and he didn't even like country music.
