My car went dead a while ago and got it towed to sears for repair and they did something with the battery, but I noticed they also sprayed some yellow stuff right on the cable connectors. Anyone knows what kind spray it is?

I am not familiar with a yellow spray but my guess would be some kind of a dielectric anti corrosion spray to keep the battery acid fumes from corroding the terminals. You can do the same thing with those little red and green felt washers that are sold in auto parts stores. Just take the battery cables off and put the felt washer on and then put the battery cables back on. They are sized to fit the battery posts but in case they do not, use the red one on the Pos terminal. The + should be stamped on the battery.

Corrosion remover? Battery terminal protectant?

it was probably a lithium grease spray to keep the battery acid from forming on your battery cables and eating away the bolts that hold it on.

Caused by corrosion. Coke will dissolve it.

Spread some grease on the connectors.
