i grew up in west philly, so i know all about dog fighting. but no doubt, he should be out of the league. and i would never say that, but in this case, to me it's not a question.

yea, i'm only saying if the courts find him guilty. but public opinion already gave him the guilty verdict. so i don't think it even matters what the courts say at this point.

thing is he wasn't just fighting dogs, he was killing the ones that couldn't fight. i don't agree with dog fighting, but killing them is a whole 'nother ballgame.

he should miss the games being played while he is in a federal prison, while not being payed and not collecting as he passes go. once he serves his time he should be free to rejoin a squad, if they want him.

Dog fighting is the sickest thing I've ever heard of. Are you freakin kiddin me!!!!!!! I'm not a vegan and I hate PETA but dog fighting is ridiculous. I think Vick should be suspended for a long time for this insane act of animal cruelity. I listen to sports talk radio religously because its fun and i like sports. So why are people playing the race card? Maybe its just in Houston where I live, but I heard four callers today play the race card b/c Vick is getting in trouble for doing something illegal and b/c the media is all over it...whatever...put the race card away and get a freakin life

If found guilty, he will be out of the league by default.

He'll be in jail for at least a couple of years...and out of football shape when he gets out. By then, he'll be washed up, unsignable and it won't matter. He is not a pocket passer, so he needs to rely on his scrambling ability...which will dimish quickly in a 10' by 10' cell. He will never play a game again.

Yes, he's guilty. There's no way he can honestly say he didn't know what was going on. And it's a sure bet that he not only knew, he participated also.

What he/they did to those dogs was cruel and inhuman. He should not only be permanently out of the league - he should go to jail.

(what makes it even worse is his digusting attitude that he's above the law, and just because he's Michael Vic, he's untouchable)

If found guilty, he will likely be too old to play once he gets out of the federal pen. Unless he strikes a plea deal for probation, it is likely he will do 85-100% of his sentence. The feds are not so quick to parole as most states.

If he gets probation, I doubt the NFL would want to touch him.

Even if found guily, he should not be taken out of the NFL. Off the field incidents should be handled by the proper authorities, just as on the field incidents are handled by the NFL.
If he is guilty he'll do his community service, serve a suspension, pay a fine and give an apology then we'll all go back to enjoying football.
Star athletes receive star treatment, we see it time and time again.

Slap on the wrist ,a fine, little va-ca .Then the fans will forget like they do everything else. Back to business.
I don't care for P.E.T.A. I think they are idiots on some things but I hope they do what they say this time. Then of course NFL will make a donation to them and it will go away.
Yep the good ole AMERICAN WAY!

He should not be able to play in a 'fair' world, but the money grubbing society that we are, within a few weeks of his release (that is if he even GOES to jail) if he is still young enough, he will be signed right back up. Owners don't care what a player does as long as he can still bring in the bucks.

if he gets convicted his playing days will be over regardless of what the league does to him. yesterday i heard on the jim rome show that if the federal government convicts you that a judge has to follow a set of mandatory sentencing guidelines that wouldn't allow him to be given probation or a few months in jail. if he gets convicted he's looking at between two and six years in prison and no amount of money can get him out of it

Of course. Anyway, he won't be in the league with 7 to 12 years awaiting him

yes - people who commit such heinous crimes should be booted from the league -

having said that, if the league actually took a stand to make their players responsible citizens we wouldn't have a season - too many players would be gone-
