I wore glasses for years and got to the stage where every year my eyes were deteriorating to such a degree i needed new ones. Was costing me a fortune and contacts where no good as after a couple of hours they would dry out. Last year I had laser eye surgery...no more specs and no more contacts. Its the best thing I have ever done. Now I am 2 over 20/20! I would encourage everyone to have this, its such a great lease of life!

Yes, but I switch to contacts occasionally.

Quick Aside: I've waited tables for some time, and I find that people tip me more money when I wear contacts. I wonder why that is? There are sterotypes about people who wear glasses...

Anyway, happy reading.

I've had to wear glasses and contacts forever, nearsighted.
Just be sure you don't treat your prescription glasses like you would cheap sunglasses, they're going to be far more fragile. I'm awful with mine, and the dogs eaten a pair before. You are going to love being able to see though.

Yes, my eyesight started getting bad when I was 13. I'm near-sighted. I wear contacts sometimes, but I pretty much wear my glasses most of the time.

I HATE having to wear reading glasses. I forget to take them off and get dizzy and fall downstairs or I take them off, put them down and either forget where I put them or sit down on them and destroy them because I have left them on a chair. I tried one of those necklace / glasses holder things and found that whenever I brushed my teeth or ate anything, particles ended up on the lenses. What is the answer? I don't know. I can only empathise, poor darling. Hopefully you are less chaotic than me and are able to control them better.

I'm wearing glasses at the moment. I tend to wear my contact lenses mainly but like to give my eyes a rest from them in an evening. I'm very, very short sighted.
