When you were little they asked you "what do you want to be when you grow up"? Are you doing this work and getting paid for it?

Nope. When I was a kid, I wanted to be an Air Force pilot / Astronaut. I was absolutely crushed when I found out that I don't qualify for either one for medical reasons (I'm colorblind).
I ended up getting a degree in engineering instead. It has been a good choice for me, but the little kid in me still wants to be an astronaut.

Unfortunately, I never really paid much attention to the question until it was REAL late in highschool / early in college. I think that's something that needs more emphasis on - career choices. Even if you think you want to be a stock-broker, the actual job may be completely different that the job you envisioned it to be. Then, your either stuck in a position you don't like or you're changing jobs every 3-5 years because you can't stand the positions you end up in. It's tough.
