Yes it's called "natural family planning" or the "rhythm method".
Basically you need to learn when you ovulate. You can figure this out by monitoring your cervical mucus. When it looks like raw egg whites, you are in the midst of ovulating or will do so soon. Just use a condom that week or avoid sex all together. It's obviously not 100% reliable, but if you're in a commited relationship it should be fine to do. My husband and I are doing this right now(waiting for our insurance benefits to kick in-boo).

Abstinence does not work due to coercive sex, rape, and sleep-sex, if sharing a bed with a partner.

Oral and anal sex both have zero chance of pregnancy; however, they may not be as emotionally satisfying as vaginal intercourse.

You can also use sperimicide, which has an effectiveness similar to condoms when applied correctly.

barrier methods are great, and are pretty good at preventing pregnancy. you should look into diaphragms, FemCaps, and Lea's Shield. they are used in conjunction with spermicides.

google any of those names and there are multitudes of sites on them. talk to your gyno about them.

there is also the Intra-Uterine Device (IUD) and that is a more long term thing, and has great results.

hope this answer helps.

i prefer both of these to hormonal bc pills or condoms.

PLEASE!!!! do not listen to the people who are telling you the rhythm method and/or pulling out are methods of birth control!!! they absolutely are not reliable because a woman can get pregnant anytime during her cycle, including on her period even though it's rare, and guys have pre-ejaculate which does contain sperm and can get you pregnant. you are less likely to get pregnant using these but it is not reliable and it's basically like playing russian roulette.
