About 10 years ago my husband and I had a friend over. We were all in the bedroom just hanging out. He was on the computer, she was on the bed reading the newspaper and I was sitting nearby.
I left to go to the store for something for about 25 minutes. When I came back the door was closed and the sheets had been pulled off the bed. Each was still doing what they were doing before. When I asked my husband, he said a drink had spilled on the bed so they pulled the sheets and washed them. I don't remember checking the washer.
Anyway, years later they both deny anything happened and I was just over reacting.. I trust my dear friend and we've all been friends. We are going to her wedding this weekend. But was I wrong to even think that it could easily LOOK LIKE SOMETHING was going on?

I did deal with it by asking my husband and I asked her later.
Nothing was different when I came back in the room - they were doing the same things and not flustered or anything.
My husband had an affair a few years ago. She helped me through it.
We are going to her wedding reception this weekend - the only reason it comes to mind.

If you've never had reason to believe otherwise, then it's possible that nothing happened. But on the surface, it DOES look bad and he/they should at least admit that.

Yes, I would believe in that situation. It's possible to happen that a drink had spilled on the bed so they pulled the sheets and washed them. You didn't ask why a drink got spilled.
I would believe, too in the situation that looked like something happened. I would believe, too in the situation that you were just over reacting. I would believe, too in the situation that you don't remember checking the washer.
Whatever other situations you may think of can be possibilities as well as your corresponding reactions to them.
I hope that answers your question.

Ok - so let's pretend like something DID happen. Ten years later, they both confess that they were screwing around. What do you do? Do you leave him, or do you say "it was 10 years ago"?
Why continue to stir the pot? Let it go!! If you thought that something had happened, you should have ended your friendship with her 10 years ago. There is NO way they will ever tell you the truth if they were fooling around, they would be stupid to do that!! If you love your husband, and you value your friendship with this girl, then just forget about it.
Remember: Looks can be deceiving!!!

It could have been something else innocent happened but neither thought you'd understand - ever watch Three's Company? It could have been she threw a pillow at him and he threw it back and really did spill the drink but that's it. A hundred things "could" have happened.
Either way for 10 years your imagination has kept this in your brain and likely thrown it in a hundred different directions a few thousand times. But you need to make a decision to let this GO for your sake as well as theirs.

Well, the time to have had doubts and get upset was back then. I think I'd have checked those soiled sheets immediately to see what was on them! Maybe they did fool around. At this point you will never know, though. Since you've remained friends, you need to forget it now, I suspect.

Well I think that since it has been 10 years and you are still with him and still friends with her...What does it matter now?? You already have forgiven what did or did not happen, you need to move on and quit living in the past that you ignored back then.

That's a tough call. When you got back in did they look worked up? Was the room hot, usually it smells like sex at least a little.
Without knowing I would have to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I would have thought the same thing. The door was closed, and you were gone a long time, I would have taken her with me if I was you.

Yeah it may have been suspicious but you cant prove it, so you got to trust him. Don't keep looking back let it go, you cant change the past.
