A bar is a measure. Look at your time signature. If it is 6/8, then a measure is 8 beats

Find the sheet music. Look for the vertical lines connecting the five horizontal lines. They are spaced about one inch apart, but it varies depending on how many notes and rests there are. If its 4/4 time, there are 4 beats per measure. The bars seperate the measures. You'll have to count out the 32 bars or measures to see what portion of the song it is.

32 bars is the same as 32 measures. That's quite a generous amount of a song to be sung. Generally, if you're auditioning for a singing gig you want something that will showcase your voice and acting ability. Upbeat ballads from showtunes are best. Don't sing Pop songs, R&R, or Country.
