well i baught Far Cry for computers a loooooong time ago and i couldn't play it well on my weak desktop a while ago and it worked but i couldn't see anything except red and blue. i recently baught a laptop and looked at the recommended specs and i had everything good except 1 thing. instead of 2.0GHz i have 1.80GHz. i have an Acer Aspire 3100 amd sempron mobile 3500+ with 512mb ram and a ati radeon 1100Xpress 128mb graphic card just like it was recomended. the game however played extremely slow does anyone know where to buy or if it is even necessary that i buy GHz or if even can buy it? Thanks in advance!

You can buy a bigger cpu but really what you need is another 512 stikck of ram. that will help out ALOT. your cpu should still work fine for that game but your memory is a lil low for that high end game, hope that helps. A 512 stick can be found for about 20-40 buck a roos. Very cheap and will help. Just make sure you find out what ram speed is on your laptop. Mixing speed of rams can cause freezin.

if it's running slow, you probably need more ram than the 512 mb installed. if you get 1024(i gig) it will help speed up the game. if you are running the game on minimum requirements, it will be slow. get more memory...it will be worth it for all your applications.

The amount of hertz is, in this case, how fast your processor runs. You cannot "buy" GHz without getting a whole new processor. And if you tried to replace your processor, you could, and probably would, end up screwing up your computer.

It looks like you could use more RAM. Games are resource intensive, therefor they you allot of ram. If this were my system I would install another 512 megs.
