No they have not.
They never will.
They stated that their "ad" in the school paper that incited students against the players was not an attack on the players. They said that it was a generalization of rape in society.

Should they? YES
No rational person can deny the insinuating judgement of guilt. Rape is a horrible thing, but so is convicting innocent people. Even if their intent was NOT to prejudge the players (hah yeah right), the results were that their actions DID in fact help fan the flames of the students, community, and media. They SHOULD appologize for the results of their actions.

Read the ad and tell me that is not insinuating guilt.

to my knowledge they professors did not appologize to any of the players.

yes they had something to appologize for, they made acusations and encouraged students to hang "WANTED" posters with the lacrosse teams pictures on them...the 55 faculty members that led this acusation should be ashamed that they did not stand by their own students.

this kind of behavior makes me question the integrity of Duke as a whole...these teachers casued even more negative media--for what ummm NOTHING there was not a single shred of evidence that could tie any of the players to the alleged "rape".

What do they have to apologize for? Did you actually look at the ad they posted in the paper or are you taking everyone else's word for it that it falsely accused the players?? Take a look for yourself and then tell me what, exactly, they have to apologize for. For attempting to start a dialogue about an apparent issue on campus???
