Two bats are always better than one...Go with Ortiz and Manny every time...Alex Rodriguez gets into little slumps here and there more than Ortiz and Manny, making some constantly question whether ARod is overpaid...I don't think Ortiz has ever really had a significant slump...

I'm not sure how you compare 2 players combined to 1 player, but If I had the choice to have either Manny and Ortiz on my team or just Arod, I'd take Manny and Ortiz. If I had to pick just 1 player of the 3, it would be Arod hands down.

Combined the beantown boys have 8 40 homerun seasons where on his own A-rod has 7. Ortiz/Ramirez have a grand total of 1 50 homerun season, Rodrigues has 2. Alex leads the stolen base race 250 to 41. Oh and he plays defence. and he has 2 MVP awards to their 0.

well 2 against one player is not Fair but i have to with Alex Rodriguez amazing talent he has over 496 and will be the youngest to 500 hr and 1439 RBI 870 BB .306 BA abd he is a two time MVP in 203 and 2005

ALEX RODRIGUEZ is a better all around player than manny, david, or manny and david could ever be. manny has 2164 career hits, david has 1142, and alex has 2175. manny has scored 1309 runs, david has scored 682, and alex has scored 1445. manny has 1570 rbis, david has 822, and alex has 1439. manny has 484 homers, david has 247, and alex has 496. and stolen bases, what a runaway...manny has 34, david has 7, and alex has 250. manny does lead in rbis, but everything else is in alex's favor. and he's the only one of the trio to have an MVP. two actually. (2003 and 2006) and lets not even start with defense... i've gotta go with alex on this one.

Of course, two all-star players combined would put up bigger numbers than any one player. However, A-Rod is better than ortiz or Manny.

tough to compare 2 players with 1. but given the choices, I'd say Big Papi and Manny are better than ARod alone.
