This is a question for Mulereiner!
It is a cross between a donkey and a horse. Usually the male is a Jack (male donkey) and the female is a horse. They are sterile and cannot breed. They are wonderful animals, I rode a few when I was young.
A Hinnie (sp?) is a female donkey or "Jennet" and a male horse. Pretty much the same thing.

A mule is a cross between a horse and a donkey. They are sterile due to the uneven number of chromosomes. Horses have 64 chromosomes and donkeys have 62 chromosomes, leaving a mule with only 63 chromosomes.

Two possible answers. One is a cross between a horse and a donkey. Two, is someone who transports drugs across the country, in the hope of not being caught by the po-po.

I believe it's a cross between a horse and a donkey. They're very smart animals and are hard workers. And hard to persuade. I understand they're also sterile.
