What on earth does 8/7c mean? I heard that it's something about time zones, and I am in the east coast. What time would a 8/7 central show be on for me?

It means a TV program is shown at 8 o'clock local time in the Eastern, Mountain, and Pacific time zones, and at 7 o'clock local time in the Central time zone.

The "c" is Central Time. Networks generally don't like to deal with having to broadcast three times to the Pacific, Central, and Eastern markets, so they'll lump Central in with one of the others.
