My husband and I are going to be first time parent 's in October to a little boy much to my husbands delight. Over the past few years lets just say he has been a little less than motivated and ambitious, although he's a great guy. I was usually the one to make all the money and be responsible, and he just worked enough to get by. I recently was laid off and am now 6 months pregnant. He has gone through a complete turnaround, he works 70 hours a week, is fixing the house, pays the mortgage and bills, even though I am collecting. he even talks about me not going back to work once the baby comes in october. I am so happy, I never thought this would happen, I hope it lasts for the next 18 years! Anyone else have this happen. Who knew all it would take is a baby??

Well thats great! Thank goodness he is taking responsibility for his actions and not running away. It's his job he is suppose to take care of his family.he really have no choice since you are not working. I think you should enjoy this moment, take the 6 weeks of after having the baby and let him take care of you for a change. Hope you have a nice healthy baby.

He's realized the responsibility it's going to take to raise this baby and has decided to step up to the plate, he has motivation now (not that you were not his motivations before...but a family is a big deal to some men). considering he's having a boy, i'm sure he's wanting to set a great example for his son on how to be responsible and treat his mother (you). It's awesome that he's doing this...sometimes it does take having a baby, but feel extremely grateful and lucky, because a lot of men run from the thought of having a child or become lazy...not all women are as fortunate as you so don't ever take advantage of it and do something special for him once in awhile.
My man is also that way, he works long hours at night and still comes home to play with my son (who is not is) and will make sure the house is picked up and i'm okay (he'll ask to rub my feet, wash my back in the tub, or fix me something to eat) before he ever thinks about laying his head down to get some rest. It's a great thing!!!! Congrats on baby and your hubby!!!!!

Congradulations, no my husband did not do that while I was pre he bought porn when we had no money for food.

Anyway I hope that he will continue this for you, maybe he has realized how inportant u are and how much you are giving up by caring his baby.

You are giving up some stuff, but once the baby comes you won't care. Good Luck and Congrats!

That would be called a 180.
360 would mean he's back to being lazy.
